The 5 Best Climbing Gyms In Singapore (2025)

Different climbing gyms have different perks. Some have saunas, others are in more deserted areas so pesky schoolkids won’t disturb your tranquil climbing session.

This post will show you 5 different gyms, each catering to a specific need or want that you might have.

So, here are the 5 best climbing gyms in Singapore as of 2025!

1. FitBloc Depot: Peace

Fitbloc at Depot Heights is situated in Depot Heights Shopping Centre.

There’s a good chance you’ve never even heard of Depot Heights Shopping Centre.

Just a few bus stops away from Alexandra Retail Centre (ARC), Fitbloc Depot is pretty sizeable (think one wide area with multiple walls featuring slabs, overhangs, and verticals) that even has a moonboard, showers, and some basic gym equipment (pullup bars, weights, etc.).

I kid you not — I have never seen the gym have more than 15 people, even on weekends.

2. Z-Vertigo: Gem

This tiny gym is hidden away in the corner of Bukit Timah Shopping Centre’s basement.

It is pretty much the only gym near Bukit Timah, making it perfect for westies. (The closest alternatives — which are not very close at all if you’re taking public transport — are Boulder+ at Chevrons or Climb Central CCK.)

I believe everyone should climb at Z-Vertigo at least once. It’s a unique experience due to its challenging routes, old-school look, and low walls.

Many routes require hard pinches or powerful moves, and the regulars at the gym are truly strong climbers, some of them even being professional routesetters!

3. Fitbloc: Best All-rounder

Before you accuse me of being a Fitbloc fanboy for putting Fitbloc twice in this blog, hear me out!

What other gym has two storeys; three large, distinct areas featuring slab walls, overhangs, verticals, a moonboard, a spraywall, an endurance wall; and other funky bonuses like a sauna and a swimming pool?

Oh, and don’t forget the gym. Yes, Fitbloc Science Park even has an entire gym equipped with barbells, treadmills, weights, and machines.

They also sell climbing-related items like shoes, chalk, and finger tape.

If you’re heading to this gym, which I believe is undeniably the best in Singapore (or perhaps tied with Boulder+ at Chevrons), do try to climb before 3pm. Any time after and the gym will be packed with students and office workers.

Do note that Fitbloc has two outlets: Fitbloc Science Park and Fitbloc Depot*

4. Boulder movement: friendly

With 4 outlets spread across Bugis, Downtown, Rochor, and Tai Seng, Boulder Movement is pretty accessible for most people.

More importantly, it has a host of routes suitable for beginners. Known for their friendly routes, Boulder Movement likely has something easy enough for you to do, even if you’ve just begun your bouldering journey.

They even advertise their Tags 1 and 2 difficulty as suitable for climbers with 0 to 3 months of experience.

5. Most aesthetic?

Maybe you’re going on a date with a lovely someone. Or maybe you just want to boulder while having some nice views.

By far, the prettiest, most aesthetic gym I’ve been to is Project Send.

With a café, spaces to chill or study (chairs, tables, beanbags), alongside plenty of natural lighting, Project Send is pretty sizeable climbing gym with plenty of routes to choose from. There is even a separate section with a competition wall and a gym area.

Your bouldering session will also be enhanced by the view of Marina Bay and the Singapore River; the bathrooms, too, are modern and nice (if that matters to you).

If you’re ever near the Esplanade, I strongly recommend you drop by Project Send.
